We've recently added new imagery to our Historical collection of imagery.
Images include:
- Variety of shots from the Nevada Test Site, home of the U.S. tests on atomic explosions. Great images include shots of nuclear explosions, damage from explosions, and various structures getting hit by aftermath of explosions, shots of the test range and interior shots of various facilities. Historical footage taken in the 1950's and 1960's.
- Variety of shots of early computers, including but not limited to the Cray X-MP/48 computer, the fastest supercomputer of its time in the mid to late 1980's and the ENIAC computer, a first generation computer designed and built for the military.
- Civil Defense footage from film shot in 1951. Great classic black and white images of what to do in case of a nuclear blast occurred, basically the Duck and Cover classic imagery.
